thescrapman
Not seen them before.I wonder how close they are to the six-cylinder ones in shape?
heraldcoupe
I've been toying with the idea of doing something similar. I use various polyurethanes for making seals and gaskets, and I ahve a suspicion that one of the compounds I use is exactly what these are made from.Cheers,Bill. Dicky Blighter
Billif you did do a poly engine mount for 4 cylinder Herald/Spitfire I'm sure they would sell well. Current rubber ones don't last very long and sag very quickly,, I've got through 3 sets in 4 years as I have a clearence issue between rack and trigger wheel for megajolt and soggy engine mounts cause problems.I'd willingingly pay 30/40 quid or so for a pair if they lasted - gearbox mounts would do well also. If you need a company to make the metal bracket bits let me know as we do something very similar in small batches for a car maker for their rally cars.If you need somene to test a prototype............. :)
