Sottley09
Hi All Im a brit living in the USA and have several Triumphs (TR250, TR6 & Stag) in various states of disassembly Have an early Stag with a part disassembled engine which Im planning to have rebuilt once I find someone who can do the job properly in the USA In the meantime I have a nice rebuilt TR6 engine and manual box which I would like to fit. Looking for any technical articles on this conversion, which I think is a fairly straightforward swap. Thanks all
thescrapman
Easier in the UK as you just raid the 2000 parts bin. Think you will need a 2000 front plate and cross member to allow the engine to be mounted. Gearbox mounts in same way. Hybrid prop needed as well. You will need to make a hybrid front pipe so the Stag system will attach to the manifold.
Richard B
My Stag had a PI engine fitted when I got it. There were some fabricated mounts off of the GT6/TR6 bosses on the sides of the block.
Richard B
I'll try to get some photos but the engine is stored elsewhere at present
