Speedyblue
My father was running a hi-torque starter from a disco on his old Rangie. Worked well turning over 4.4L of P76 V8, although didn't fit perfectly.

TR Tony
I have one fitted to my 3.5 engine (9.75CR). Works well - engine turns over quicker for certain, even when the battery is not fully charged. Fitting was a straight replacement. Sorry but I don't know who the supplier was - came with a load of parts I bought during refurb of the car.
leylandracer
Ended up buying one;-) 20% off at Rimmers so it didnt burn to much of a hole in my pocket, Ill put a post up when its fitted to let you know if theres a difference, 200% difference lolim hoping that it might help the flooding prob i have had at the same time, somtimes the starter does struggle to turn 5 litres over and maybe if it spins over faster it might help + using less currentFunny thing is when it was on the rollers the operater did comment that it could do with a 24v starter!!!!!!! hope the 12 v one will do ;-)Just finding time to fit it now, Well busy :-(
