My pi steering wheel has now got to the point where I don't want to use it anymore

Ted the relay you sent has 4 terminals, the old one only has 3 Can anyone tell me how to wire it up by only using three !

I don't drink tea or coffe so some form of cold cans would be nice Not beer I might add, lemonade type stuff would be good -
It could be wheel bearings and if they are the same as herald shafts then you can't really tell unless you remove the shaft and hub from the car or at least disconect all suspension components. The suspension keeps presure from various directions and gives false impressions. I thought my bearings were good but after removing the shaft and putting them in a vice I had massive amounts of movement and Dale at Moordale motors explained the above

After rolling up a the auto solo with what looked like a steam powered saloon my radiator is being re-cored,the chap at the repairers said "it's blocked and it's got a few holes in it" As I was taking the rad out last night I had a very quick look for the drain tap on the block and I couldn't see it,as the wife has had a move round in the living room I currently can't get to my workshop manual so I find myself in the embarrassing position of asking Where's the coolant drain plug on a 2.5 block ?

John I've no idea what springs are fitted but I would guess there standard, if they were uprated I think the chap I got the engine from would have said. It's still on standard seats, so I wouldn't have thought you'd fit super springs without having new seats and other work done. I've just had a little run about and tickover is now ok(ish),it seems nice and quiet and quite responsive. I'm hoping that after going throught a second rebuild after issues were discovered after the first one that things had to "settle down" a bit

Dare I say it without being taken out at dawn and shot :- If it now drives the same as it has for the last 5yrs why not just drive it. Is it not possible they've been in there for years,in the last 5yrs how many times have you changed the oil

Dave I can't remember anything about instructions when I fitted mine,all I remember is it was easy Not much help I know, I think I fitted the top ball joint to the arms before I fitted the trunionless bit You have to fit the steering arm as the bolts go in from behind, looking at the picture. That's about it, hope the picture helps -
I only asked as when I went to fit the dizzy on the engine it wouldn't seat all the way down and I had to get a diferent pedestal. Not sure if I was using the pedestal from the old 2ltr the current one is taller than the one I had. I'll dig the other one out at the weekend and put a picture up

If I change a 45 dizzy for a 25 do I have to change the pedestal on a 2.5 engine

I'll have a look at the box tomorrow to see what I bought ! Anything under about 900 revs and the ignition light came on. Now the alternator is fitted I've noticed a few things Indicators flash quicker even on tickover and the indicator lights on the dash seem brighter Headlights seem a touch better

New alternator fitted so now on idle no more red light coming on 🙂
