  1. For what it's worth, My Mk4 with K & N's is running AAD's . Not checked on rolling road or anything but seems good to me. Tony.
  2. For the price of a couple of new rear wheel cylinders, if they were mine, I'd replace them if they were the originals. One less thing to worry about.  ;D Tony.
  3. They should have had a relay from new I thought, my Spitfire has. Tony.

    Radiator query

My Mk 4 has a Canleys full width rad but has no front valances. She doesn't get hot and I'm in New Zealand.  ;D Tony.

    GT6 thermostats

With the radiator on that angle and the blanking piece on the top, is the hot air behind the radiator being restricted from escaping ? Tony.
  6. Either or, makes no difference... the 'box will have to come out  :'( Tony.
  7. Sounds like an alternator or regulator fault to me or a loose fanbelt. Tony.
  8. Suggest you get radiator pressure tested. Fitting with a little pump fits on radiator cap fitting and the system is pressurised. If there are no external leaks and pressure drops it must be internal... Sorry  :'(  Tony.
  9. By adjustable push rod I meant the rod that actuates the master cylinder from the pedal. Tony.
  10. You can adjust the travel of the master cyl pushrod. you'll see a locknut on the pushrod in front of the master cyl.  don't take all the freeplay out though. Having said this I doubt that it will help in your case, if the pedal is going to the floor with no resistance it sounds like air in the system or an internal problem with the clutch. Or you could have fluid getting past the seal in the master cylinder and not allow pressure to build. Have you overhauled / replaced this. ? Cheers Tony.
  11. I would also consign the Strombergs to the rubbish tin (or Ebay) and fit the SU's. Tony.
