no idea on cost (probably isn't cheap) but what of this: http://www.zircotec.com/page/--performance-white/41 I have read about people using this in various magazines to reduce under bonnet temps, and being a coating, no corrosion issues.

Thats a relief to know, thaought i was doing something wrong as every panel i have tried to fit needed modifying in some way. as to the door not a hundred percent sure its not been repaired (possibly badly at some point) but it does look like a mirror image of the other side.

If the bids dont get much higher its almost worth it for the engine and superchargers alone. (if they work). Wouldnt like to try cornering though 😲

this may be a daft\stupid suggestion, but can you iron the loose carpet in situ to form it around arches etc?

be prepared to be shocked when you take your screen out! That's what mine looked like initially, just thought it was a bit of scab, turned out to be a non existant corner 🤔 same on the other side too. + water will have got into the a post and possible eaten into that to... But look on the bright side you will know your car will be solid with no hidden nasties when you fix it! keep the pics coming 🙂

Get yourself something like one of these: https://www.machinemart.co.uk/shop/product/details/polycarbonate-face-screen And wear a few layers of clothing and gloves (that you dont mind getting really, REALLY dirty), youll get used to being on your back under car with grinder just watch out for kicks if wire brush snags a flange though

Looking good there! Nice job. Nice to see your rear repair panel fitted ok. did you have to adjust it at all? the one i am in the process of fitting is 1/2 inch short left to right, so will have to add some metal to it.
