AndyR1
Hi im planning on doing the freelander wheel stud conversion on my herald but im running steel wheels on it. Im struggling to find wheel nuts that will work in the taper of the steel wheel. Has anyone done this conversion and if so what nuts did you use? Cheers Andy
nang
Can you not drill and retap your existing wheel nuts M12. ? Probably best done in a lathe. Tony.
Clive
I used the 60 degree taper nuts, the ends get a little chewed as the contact area is small, but no issues. Or get some sh open nuts from an escort or similar, that works fine but they are best under a hubcap.
yorkshire_spam
I sourced a load of ford m12 nuts suitable for the steels, different taper etc. I think they were either focus or Mondeo, it's a long while ago though. I'll check back through my paperwork and see if I can find specifically which they are.
