TedTaylor
Don't know what the supply situation is for Mk1 and Mk2 discs but this information may be useful. When I built up my MK1 with the intention of doing comps work with it (fat chance - got sidetracked into organising clubs/associations/events) I wanted to uprate the brakes but to something suitable to pre'68 which meant not Mk2 calipers (I wanted any mods to reflect its year of manufacture ..... but not slavishly). My answer was to have a pair of new original Mk2 discs machined so that the disc faces were the same as MK1 discs. Gave me the benefit of the much beefier Mk2 mounting to the hubs and of course better heat soak which could delay fade a little.Ted
thescrapman
What about total thickness including the Bell??And that was a Stag disk was it??Need to find the details for a Mk2 2000 as well I think.Got a pair of Brembo 265mm diameter ones for the Spitfire for £5 the pair off Ebay.. :-) then had to pay 3 times that for postage... :-(Cheers
