CharlieB
Well there is in the old one, but not in the new one. Anyone confirm this isn't a vital oil hole that's missing? Cam is new from Moss (Kent Cams box)
GT6boy
Can't help regarding the hole i'm afraid, but as an aside: Guy at the TSSC meet last night was not very complimentary about his TT cam shaft. Two weeks ago, after 3000 miles, the lobe for No.1 valve must have worn through the case hardening and virtually wore the whole lobe down!!!! No hard valve springs fitted or anything else, just bog standard valve train. He fitted it himself, new cam followers as well. Reckon it was a re-grind. I understand that is not unusual. Seems Moss must be accepting it at face value, as they are offering him a refund?
CharlieB
Well at least he got a refund. My existing cam is a TT regrind (well they are all from Kent) & I've measured the lift & its still to spec after several thousand miles so hope the new one will be ok.I wonder if I'll need shorter pushrods going from a regrind to a new cam, hopefully there'll be enough adjustment?
