sahtuning2000
thankyou very much for your offer, the engine actually isn,t in the way as such, but i need to spend more time with my dad who has been diagnoised with terminal leukemia(can,t even spell it!)he bought his LHD mk1 in 1974 and still has it,i love triumph 2000s and always will,so i want to spend more time with him at shows and doing odd jobs on our own cars,as this will help him enjoys things a bit more, being stuck in the shed not talking to anyone or paying attention to others isn,t the way foward really, the engine has had loads done to it in the short while i have had it,to be honest(and i can prove it!!)it owes me close to £1750,any offers that are reasonable and not miles away will get it,i,ve been offered £650 for the cars/inlets but want the whole lot to go in one lump, believe me i don,t want £1750 for it,so i will be losing money without doubt,a sensible offer gets it??????? Toledo Man
What I meant was that I might be able to help the lucky buyer with collecting the engine as I have use of my mate's van (MK4 Escort diesel - managed to shift my Toledo lump with considerable ease) and I've more than enough room in my garage to store it if need be. All I ask for is the cost of diesel.I hope your dad can make a recovery. I know it sounds bad but don't give up hope of some sort of cure being found. And remember that we're all here for you. You have my deepest sympathies.
sahtuning2000
its a heavy lump, the paperwork that came with it said that it weighed 300 kg,but its a great offer if someone wants to employ you to collect/deliver it!!yeah my dads going for loads of tests etc at hammersmith hosiptal, cheers
Philip Blank
while we don't know each other dave, i do also offer my sympathies. if i can offer a ray of hope, about a year ago my own father was told he had a very limited time on this planet, cancer having got into his liver, which at over 70 isn't usually the best scenario, yet treatment including surgery sees him very much with us and not a trace of the big C on 2 scans since. keep on hoping. regards, phil. Philip Blank
i'd be a starter for the carbs and all carb set up, but given i'm in nz, the engine clearly is out of the question. that probably doesn't appeal to you but if some other punter wants the other bits, you can always be in contact. phil.
