marktheherald
Hi, can anyone tell me the weight of a 13/60 engine, (as removed from car with most parts still attached, e.g. flywheel/clutch/manifolds/w-pump etc.) Also , before I break the bathroom scales, how about a diff as well? This info needed for carrier. Cheers, Mark.

marktheherald
Hi Clive , a fellow member is looking to courier these up to Cumbria. Any thoughts ? I can only be home for collections at the weekends, so far the best figure is £50-£60 for a collection on a Sat. Cheers, Mark.

Clive
I'd second that!Unless somebody happens to be driving up that way and wants to earn a few bob.Whatever you do don't let them pay by paypal or you will be losing money!
thebrookster
As the buyer, I am looking to courier the engine as it still be cheaper than me picking it up, and happens to be ideal for what I am looking for (replacement 'upgrade' to the Spit, eventually for racing use). I am just hoping that the company in question will honour their quote when I get them the full details, but see no reason why not.Unless of course anyone takes head of Cliftyhanger's idea, and wants a holiday in the lakes?? ;DAlso, the sills on my car a fooked to put it politely, so whacking an engine into it may not be a good idea methinks!! Clive
Ah, good, and inside job. The courier quote is good, and the paypal thing is just that it is a real pain when selling on ebay that as the seller you pay about 5% of everything to paypal, including the postage. Then if it is significant buyers moan that you charge too much postage! I am seriously thinking of dumping paypal.....
