C Mallock
Are there any welders on here that feel like quoting for sill replacement on a Mk1 2000, both outer and strengthening section? would rather give money to a Club Triumph member than independent garage

Deleted User
I'll glue it together with some Pritt if you want? :DSorry, just that I have one next to me...I don't have a welder and haven't learned how the panels line up on a Lemon yet, so I can't help I'm afraid. Richard B
To do it properly the bottom of the front wing needs to be cut off to provide sufficient access to the front of the sill. CW did a series of articles in the 2000 Register. I think a copy is in the Technical Notes, not sure if it's volume 1 or 2.I can't offer as I'm up to my neck in projects and I have no space at present. If you can, buy a grinder & a welder and do it yourself. Earlpart supply a really good middle sill buy the one with the "nose-extension" it's about £50, the cheap repro outer sill can be used, about £20 and then you fabricate the front part of that.Make sure the drain holes are fitted/clear, the wheel arches are sealed and the sills wax-oyled. Then seal of the top of the wing to prevent water drain on top of the sill.
