thescrapman
Halogen, definitely, Anything has to be better than the "2 pissholes in the snow" standard Lucas lights
Clive
I would add to that. Worth getting a quality bulb rather than use the 5p bulbs supplied with kits (osram and philips both do extra bright versions, expect £20ish a pair) and while you are doing the refurb, well worth fitting relays to the main and dipped circuits. 2 advantages, takes the load off the switches and old wiring, and also improves lighting further. A pair of relays and extra wiring should be about a fiver.
