Deleted User
By dribble... how much do you mean?Is it just one injector, several or all of them?If anything more than a very minor weep I would be resealing the metering unit. Get a seal kit from someone and remove the MU. Remove the injector hoses one by one and replace the Dowty seal beneath the one way valve... if these are hardened or in any way defective you get 100 psi fuel heading straight to the injector... very easy to do but use vaseline or similar lube so as not to pinch or nick the rubber. shenderson
The O-ring seals on the banjo unions for numbers 2 and 5 are prone to breaking up, with little fragments of rubber entering the fuel line and blocking the injector open. To renew these you need to remove the metering unit. It's also worth blowing compressed air (filtered, at no more than 80 psi) through each injector to clear any debris out. You will be amazed at how much smoother the engine runs after doing this. There is some useful info, on the PI system as well as the rest of the car, in the 2000 Register Service Notes.Steve
