Spitfire Mk3 Door rebuild

This weekend I'll be putting the doors back together after a respray. As I dismantled them a year ago, is there any particular order to fit the parts in?

I was thinking
- channels
- door latch mechanism
- window winder mechanism

Obviously I want to avoid putting something in place, bleeding knuckles etc only to have to remove it to fit in something else!

Feels great to be finally bolting bits together again after a year with the car in bits!

Thats about right
Handle (so you have something to hold on to )
Channels (and the rubber strip) with glass clamps undone
Feed in the locking rod
Attach the door striker lock (little circlip/washer) to the locking rod
Glass and then weather strips
Pretty easy really

...................then repaint it when you have dropped the door,scratched it etc , you know the usual thing that happens ;D

Just realised I don't have the "sound deadening pads"that stick to inside of the door skin. Do these actually do anything? and if yes what material could I use instead?

In one of my doors it's in and in the other not ..
so my door if you close it's making a more hallow sound , the other has a nice sound..
Don't know if they do much, maybe reducing the outside/wind noise a bit  ;)
