Jonny-Jimbo
Just a quick one all; I need to order some air-box to carb gaskets for my 2000 Mk2, but I can't remember what carbs are on it. Fairly sure they're not CD150s, are would they be SU HS6's? If so, where's a good place to get gaskets from, preferably cheap as possible. Never having bought gaskets before as I got a massive box of them with my Herald... but none of them are the right type.BTW, I'm not being lazy, my car is 200 miles away, so I can't just pop out to check what carbs they are! dazzer
They probably will be SUs and a good quality reasonable cheap place to purchase them from is www.burlen.co.uk their web site has a make and model page which will tell you which carbs are fitted.CheersDarren
Jonny-Jimbo
Thanks Dazzer - PS, if you read this, expect update on fibreglass boot lids soon. Trying to find a good Mk1 boot to use as a buck at the moment.
piman
Hello Jonny, don't you have any cornflake packets or the like, just cut new ones with a pair of scissors? They're not a particularly critical gasket.Alec

Only issue is location?

Probably HS4's or could be CD150SE's. 1974 was a crossover year before moving to HS6's in the facelift 2000TC.
Jonny-Jimbo
Defo SU's of some kind, didn't take much notice of them when I pulled them apart in terms of size, but definately SU's and not Strongbows.
nang
If they have 4 bolts to manifold they're HS6's. If only 2 bolts HS4's. Just cut them from heavy paper, one each side of the heat shields. Cheers Tony.
Jonny-Jimbo
Thanks Nang, but it's not those ones I need, it's the carb to air-box, so 3 bolts!
nang
Still really not too hard to make! Bit of card and a pair of scissors!
dazzer
Is this the gasket you are looking for? Only one unfortunatly from my misc gasket box but if its of any use I can pop it in the post. They actaully fit the 175 Strombergs as well if you detach the top portion.CheersDazzer
