barrymknight
Hi all,I'm looking for some guidance on what I'm doing wrong!Last year, the horn my MKIV Spit started sounding every time I turned right. I found that the purple wire in the steering column had snapped and when I turned, was earthing on the column.I bought a new slip ring and refitted and within a month it had happened again. So a bought another slip ring....and it's happened again.Where am I going wrong!!!Thanks,Barry

Velocita Rosso
THe slip ring is held in situ with three fold over tabs, ...if its not held down and floating around then thats why the wire keeps snapping when the wheel turns
