2009poolesparky
ive seen some spits were fitted with something called a "light dimming relay" to dim the rear lights??can i just ask, why on earth you would ever want to do this ? lolAlex
Bainzy
You think that's daft, you want to see the rheostat they fitted to TR6's. It's hard enough to tell if the gauges are lit up are not when it's on full, and to make matters worse, having it on full still adds resistance to the circuit so they're still dimmer than they would've been without one at all. piman
Hello alex, "can i just ask, why on earth you would ever want to do this ? lol2The simple answer is to avoid dazzling anyone behind you at night (Not that many care these days with the foot on the brake when stopped!). If the lights are bright enough for daylight use (which they were when new with clean lenses) then it makes sense to dim the light at night.Bainzy, the same applies to the panel dimmer, clean all your instruments and the illumination may be too bright for you. People complain that their instruments are difficult to see at night, they are dirty that's why.Alec
