Clutch Slave Cyl

Does anyone know if a TR4-6 clutch slave is the same as a 2000 one??

not according to rimmers

2500 & TR5 are the same (UKC 8677)  1" bore

2000 is different (7/8" bore) TKC 2786

tr4 listed as 516788 (girling)  :-/

I'm thinking £5 Land Rover special tomorrow from the place in Bury.

Looks like it will fit, might just give a slightly different pedal feel.

Can also pop next door and get a rebuild kit for the master cyl.

It is it's only hope I think. I'm not taking the gearbox out.

After nearly going through a few hedges driving home Monday night due to the utterly useless headlights (I couldn't actually tell if I was on main beam or dip beam, and neither wee much better than the sidelights!!) I told the owner he was buying new headlights, he was less than impressed, saying there was nothing wrong with them!

So I am guessing he won't be too keen on forking out for teh clutch bits either... :-)

Not so much night driving this time at least......

Might be worth just fitting a relay or two - I have been much surprised how much that helps!  Stops that stupid switch melting too....

Have you got a "plan B" car  :P
