oil leak

hi all i have oil leaking from near the spark plugs , those tube things i think, on my herald. is this a head gasket problem or can they be tightened up? :-/

Not a head gasket problem but a slight problem all the same; the tubes get loose over the years and the only thing to do is to take the head off and flatten each one out using a suitable flare so that they're a snug fit again. You can try various oil-resistant sealants as a stop-gap but it's doing a proper neat-looking job that makes it difficult..
