Tom2000
Hi all,Car is out of the garage and has had all the ignition reset for emissions unfortunately the is pinking when hot and at high revs/speeds.Am I right in thinking its just a case of taking her for a drive and regarding he ignition to remove pinking by turning the dizzy to the left a tad? It's ridiculous quite how easily I forget this stuff now a days! Thanks
HMaze
Rotation of the distributor finger is ccw (Counter clock wise). So turning the distributor body clock wise advances the timing, turning counter clock wise retards the timing.Cheers,Harry

Ludwig
I've been using Shell V Power Nitro+ which has enabled me to set the timing as per the handbook. The car runs beautifully on the stuff, can't praise it enough! Just a thought,Alex
uksnatcher
Yup.... some fresh Shell V-Power 99 octaine and a squirt of Castrol Valvemaster+ livens things up (after using 97 ron petrol) and eliminates pinking for me too.
