biggles1v Posted January 26 Author Posted January 26 Hi Yes Am a retired Trimmer (Vauxhall motors) and as I have had my Spitfire mk1v since 1977 so I do a set of seats every now and again using new covers etc. Materials come to about £450 -£495 or so and I don't add on a lot as just a hobby. Have been asked to give approximate price and location is Ringwood Hants if anybody is interested, though can pack for a courier. Plenty other photos Quote
biggles1v Posted January 26 Author Posted January 26 Trying to Edit to add location and approx price but cannot see how? The three dots just say 'share' or 'report' Quote

mikeyb Posted January 27 Posted January 27 That's a little odd, maybe a quirk of the forum setup? Perhaps worthy of a committee discussion. Seats look really nice by the way, you are obviously a master of your trade. Shame you are not a bit closer to Essex! Quote
biggles1v Posted January 27 Author Posted January 27 Surprisingly Essex is only a £16 Parcelforce 48 courier away (the trick to such a low courier price is to package each seat separately, this keeps each weight below 12kg and they do not charge extra for two parcels!) and of course also if sending an exchange pair its the same. I will do your own seats to your specification if required, though am in my 70s now so it would take me a couple weeks or so. Quote

mikeyb Posted January 27 Posted January 27 Are you limited to Spitfire only or do you take on other models or even makes? Quote
biggles1v Posted January 28 Author Posted January 28 Hi I only do a few seats now as a hobby, but like to offer either exchange or outright sale as some have non Triumph seats fitted that they want to put back to stock, or upgrade mk1v non recline/headrest to the much safer 1500 seats, so I may have bought a pair from North Dorset. To keep things simple I only take on Spitfire/Gt6 seats, mainly the later ones as above picture but also Mk3 occasionally. Quote
