Sealing on the throttle plates 150 cd's

Hi folks

No matter how much I jiggle the the throttle plates with the small screws loosened, I can still see some light coming through between them and the carb bodies in the closed position.

Is this normal?.

Plates are fitted correctly.

Any advice would be great.

give them a light tap before doing up the screws to help seat them,although when you set the idle speed the plates won't be sealing fully anyway therefore it is not so important.

it does get more critical as the size of the carbs increases in relation to engine volume.or like the pi bodies with one barrel per cylinder.
