TR7 electric power steering

Recommended Posts

My experience with TR7 steering is that if it's correctly set up power steering is unnecessary.

Lubrication with roller bearings at the top of the struts make a big difference.

Also I normally run modern 185 tyres with slightly higher tyres pressure - previously continental contipro 4 28/30psi & currently Falkens with 34/34psi.

The Falken pressure rating was from the manufacturer in writing after I gave them the front/rear axle weights.

Have a look at Easysteer, they have a couple of models.

I believe the MGF column has been used, not sure on comparative size though.

I saw Easysteer but they were quoting nearly £1700.00 and there is fitting. Crazy!!!!!! I will look at the MGF possibility. Thanks for that. Graham.

Interested in this . I use my 7 as a daily drive so been upgrading various things , vented front discs with 4 pot calipers,EFI , LED headlights etc.  Steering is fine on the 7 fitted roller bearing on the top but still heavy when manoeuvring out the garage. Keep us posted on what you have done .
