Does anyone happen to have a picture handy of the back of the read brake back plate - primarily to see how the rigid brake pipe routes from the bracket (where it joins the flexi-hose) to the cylinder?

While I'm here - does anyone happen to know a source for the rear brake cylinders for the late mk III GT6 - the ones with the adjuster in the cylinder? Are these common to the 1500 saloon rear brakes? I've found someone selling these (see pic) - they look the same, and they are the same bore, but can't find any reference to cross-compatibility.

James Paddock also sell them @ £14. I bought a pair when I rebuilt my GT6.

These are the only pictures I have showing the solid pipe. I hope they may be of some help.

Neil, if fitt,n thee,s, then a suggestion to drill some holes in either  drum or back plate.
I did it on the drum fronts, about 3/4 inch, to get some screwdrivers in

I had em on one  i had, and ye cannae slacken the brakes off to get the drums off
IF the drums have got a groove worn into em where linings sit.

Out of interest John, what is your spring wrapped in?

Never seen that before.

I dismantled the spring and lubricated with a lot of graphite grease, reassembled it and then wrapped it in Denso tape. the idea being to keep the damp out and the grease in. and it works!
