2500S and overdrive help.

I've got a 2500S Mk2 gearbox and A-type overdrive sitting in my garage that needs to be shifted - too many complaints of tripping over it etc.

I was going to remove the O/D initially to fit to my Vitesse, but quickly realised that it was too big without chopping the chassis around.

I tried to remove the O/D from the box tonight to ebay them but there seems to be something holding them together. I've taken all the linkages and bolts out... do I need to remove the flange from the backshaft to get the O/D off?

As I said I was going to ebay it, but if anyone can help / wants it can they PM me please?

Why are you separating the parts???

I would have thought it would be more saleable as a whole.

last one went for £125 ish on Ebay.

Now if you actually meant to say it had a J-type, they go for a bit less.

What shall we start the bids at???

No it is definately an A-type. If it was a J-type it'd be on my Vitesse by now, along with my Spax and HS6's etc :D

Have you already got a J-type 3-rail gearbox without an OD to bolt an OD onto??

I have a spare J-type in the garage, and an A-type would be useful, that was all.
