Dratno Posted March 14, 2021 Share Posted March 14, 2021 Hi i am replacing the waist window rubber seals on the inner and outer sides of the doors. The inner seals were quite straightforward but the outer ones are a problem. I have bought from Rimmers the outer seals and the clips that go with those seals but the clips do not appear to be compatible. I understand that there may need to be some “modifications” made, but even doing that to the seal and the clips it still does not work. I was wondering if anyone else has a solution to this please? RobPearce Posted March 15, 2021 Share Posted March 15, 2021 Unfortunately the currently available seals are all not-to-spec - they're noticeably thicker than the originals. However, the clips supplied by the same suppliers are for the original thickness. You need wider clips to suit the thicker seal. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I was thinking of one bodge solution of ‘glueing’ them possibly, if the right adhesive could be identified to reliably stick the rubber onto the metal door.
