Since 1st April 2015 any non-EU person is banned from all alcohol consumption in any EU country. It's something to do with EU citizen's income tax paying a certain percentage towards beer and wine production within the EU, and therefore any non-EU citizen cannot purchase or drink any alcoholic drink while here because they contribute no tax.The EU commissioner, some bloke called Dr Lirpa Loof, announced it today.We are really sorry about this but there's nothing we can do.
