  1. Here's a link to my facebook album with pictures from the run. You should be able to access these without a facebook account. https://www.facebook.com/media.....e=1&l=d1d5a7ebae
  2. If I use a different browser it's OK, the problem seems to be with access using Firefox which is my normal default browser.
  3. This is the message I get:- " One of the following errors was encountered while accessing this board ... •Problem Verifying your Access to this Board If this board uses verification, you must use a valid username. •Board Data could not be Found or is Corrupt If you encounter this, contact the system administrator immediately. " I am logged in under my account and as you'll see my account shows me as Club member below the avatar.
  4. Keith, The link you posted wont allow me access, even though I'm a CT member and also marked as a club member on my forum account?
  5. Roy lakes to follow the wildlife rather than other Triumphs, although maybe he was just following the wrong type of Stag.
  6. Love the Tunnel, looks more like the inside of a mine!
  7. The following links may be helpful, these document and allow you to search for points of sale for Vignettes in neighbouring countries and inside Austria and Slovenia Austria:- http://maps.asfinag.at/pvis/?Anzeige=Vignetten Slovenia:- http://www.dars.si/Dokumenti/3_prodajna_mesta/PRODAJNA%20MESTA_POINTS%20OF%20SALE.xlsx
  8. Andy, I'm a little confuse as this advice conflicts with the Road Book. The Road Book mentions that a Solvenia Vignette is required on both page 23 and page 24 (against way point 60) , The route also takes the A2/E61 which is under the Motorway toll network requiring a Vignette according to the Map on the DARS (the company that runs the Motorway system) website:-  http://www.dars.si/Dokumenti/Toll/Toll_system_and_roads/Vignette_system_299.aspx I'm sure it is possible to avoid this but people need to be aware that if they follow the route they need a Vignette. I agree regarding the Czech Republic though, the recommended route doesn't use uny Motorways under the Vignette Toll system.
  9. Glad I turned off the M25 when I saw the delays announced on the Matrix then, I also saw the Jam coming up before I turned off on the M40. Had a smooth journey back to Fleet avoiding the M25 and M3 diverting off through Beaconsfield and Slough Windsor and cutting across to the A30.
  10. I must admit, if it's going to be easy to purchase one over on the continent rather than via post then I'd rather do this rather than risk it not turning up or the date being wrong etc. What are most peoples experience, is it easy enough to get one at a motorway services before crossing the border?
  11. OK having gone to the drivers meeting last night,  perused the road book today and read this thread this is my take on the Vignette requirement, but please comment if anyone thinks different. At the Drivers meet is was mentioned that we'd need Vignettes for Czech Republic, Austria and Slovenia. However looking at the Road book it only mentions Austria and Slovenia. Looking deeper into this it looks as though the recommended route in CZ avoids any Motorways that are covered by Vignettes in the Czech Republic. So looks like we only need Vignettes for Austria and Solvenia as stated in the Road book. Mike did mention that it may be awkward to get hold of a Vignette at the border during the night and looking at the road book timings the first cross of the border into Austria is at just past midnight so probably best to try and get hold of a Vignette at a motorway services ahead of this earlier in the day. Hopefully getting hold of a Vignette for Slovenia will be OK at the Border as the crossing is at a more sociable hour at around 8 in the morning.
  12. Team 59 details changed directly with Team coordin8. Now Andy Cook/Howard Brissenden, crossing times remain unchanged. Mail also sent to Mike and Andy with team and car changes for entry list update.

  14. Only issue will be getting into Dover if operation stack is on. I came through Dover just over a week ago. On the Saturday Stack was on and it was taking an hour or two to queue along the A2 into Dover. However Stack was closed overnight and by the morning the traffic had cleared. Just was well as our ferry crossing wa sthe next day. Safest bet may be an overnight stay in or just outside Dover which is what we did a few days ago. But as Mike says, the actual Dunkirk crossings are fine, it's just the traffic issues in Kent...
  15. Depends on the insurance company. I'm pretty sure my classic insurance with Peter James  is Comprehensive Europe wide and includes Europe wide breakdown and recovery. However I'm off to Europe in the modern next week, I've had to pay £35 extra to extend the comprehensive cover with a green card on direct line insurance (otherwise would have been 3rd party only whilst abroad) and also had to pay another £40 to extend the green flag breakdown cover into Europe for 10 days. Bizarrely though the home insurance is also with Direct line and includes annual worldwide family travel insurance so I've got that bit covered.
  16. Worth trying the Carburetor Hospital, they have an Aladdin's cave of spares for all types of carbs. http://www.carburettorspecialists.com/ I went there many years ago to see about having my GT6 carbs reconditioned and walked out with a brand new set of new old stock carbs for a GT6 that they had in stock all set up and ready to go, didn't even need tuning when I fitted them!

  18. Spoils the whole line of the car, trying to be a Capri I think....
  19. i got the 47mm ones in without any drilling or lossening of the backplate. I did remove the brake shoes and springs to give maximum wriggle room though. It was also on a Rotoflex GT6 so may have been slightly different if your car is a spit.
  20. I have the bracket conversion on my car, bought from Moss/Triumphtune a few years back and I opted for Konis as there was a choice of Konis or Spax. I made that choise having heard so many stories from other memebers about Spaxs and how they dont last but only good things about Konis, it was more expensive but you get what you pay for. Anyway, the Konis supplied by Moss with the Kit certainly have the internal bumpstops. I also no longer have the original brackets, The inner arches needed lots of work where they had stress fractured due to Triumph's crazy idea of mounting the shocks on a wheelarch and I had the bracketrs removed as part of the repair as they are just a rust trap.
  21. TD Fitchetts is normally a good source for panels. As I understand it, they own the Heritage tooling so stock the Heritrage panels and supply most of the other Triumph suppliers.
  22. I used aeroquip hose and fittings on my dolomite for a similar arrangement. See my blog entry:-   http://cook1e.blogspot.co.uk/2013/10/clutch-hydraulics-assembled.html
  23. The B post is done in headlining, the inside of the windscreen frame is done in black on my car.
