Rubce
Evening AllI started taking the rear spring apart this evening to allow me to paint it. I got the top three plates off okay. How do you separate the bottom two plates? The only I could see to do it is to bend the two buckles up on one side.RegardsBruce

Velocita Rosso
Why paint? The leaves should be well greased to allow the leaves to move freely
Rubce
HiIts a late GT6 so swing link setup. The ends have gone red rusty and so I want to paint and then grease as appropriate.CheersBruce
Nilfisken
Bending was the way I did it. Watch for the orientation of the leaves. Supposedly some springs have a lower leaf that is supposed to be turned one way only. I made markings, grinded them away by mistake and in the end couldn't see any difference anyway so hopefully it will still work this coming spring :)Cheers!Picture from my spring resto:
