Twincarb
Hi all,It's a totally off topic from triumphs but...I have got winter tyres for my other car which are 205/55 R16 's last year I swapped the tyres with the ones on the car's alloys this year i want to get them put onto Steel rims so I can get the Alloys refinished. However I have no idea what I am looking for when I buy steel tyres can anyone help with advice on the size I want/need!
yorkshire_spam
You need to know the "parameters" for the suitable rims for both the car and the tyres - obviously stud PCD will relate to the car, as will offset.Diameter and width - a combination of the car requirements and the tyre requirements
That Man
Does your spare wheel use the same size tyre (if you have a spare?) as they are usually a steel rim, then purchase 3 or 4 more spare wheels
Clive
What car?Have a look on fleabay, and search for the car make and 16" wheels. Hopefully something will turn up. Other models (eg base) often have steel rims.
