Doig
Does anyone know how to remove the stainless steel trim running along both doors and underneath the C pillar without breaking the clips that hold them in place.Or how easy are the clips to replace if they are broken? Greeks
I thought you could slide it off ... if it's the bit I remember removing from a Mk1.I also seem to recall that you don't actually need all of the clips, so can reposition those that don't get broken? Doig
Right I'll have to have another crack at it thenThanks for the help Greeks. The book say they come off if levered carefully ( but they always say that don't they :) )
Richard B
Yes lever off, carefully with a screwdriver. As the clips are plastic and may well be old, you will probably break some. Chris Witor stocks them, they are one-shot and push into small holes in the bodywork like the plastic brake pipe clips .
