Fuel line problems

:)
Don't know if anybody else has used this trick to clear fuel lines or to draw new fuel after a lay-up?
Source a "priming bulb" as used on outboard engines and use it the same way to draw the new fuel from the tank to the fuel filter & pump - far better than trying to suck it through!!
Since the "priming bulb" is effectively a non-return valve, you can blow fuel/air back down to the tank as well, the sound of bubbles in the tank will confirm a clear line !

It is a good idea.

You can also get these things from a scrappy as fitted permanently in the fuel line to various 80s and 90s diesel cars for priming the fuel system after running out of fuel or changing the filter.

Not sure if the rubber involved will be sufficiently resistant to todays evil, ethanol-containing witches brews to leave in line permanently on a petrol car though.

Handy if you suffer from fuel vapour lock, force the fuel upto the carbs before trying to start a hot engine

One of these inline priming bulbs I think you mean?
Cheapest quality one I could find: SEALEY VSE055
