AdamSindrey
Not the same as the pistons in the other two TR7 engines I got...Head hasn't been skimmed. Quite a large gap between valves and head face. Larger than heads I've used before without problem...So, are they?
Beans
Sorry can't answer that directly as my spare parts are somewhat scattered ... ::)I have some low compression pistons lying around in Belgium. As soon as I get there I'll make some piccies for comparisson. (might take a few weeks)
Nick Jones
Adam,Like you, all pistons I have seen on 1850 Dolly and TR7 have been flat. Therefore those would seem to be low compression ones - probably US / export spec.Deeper head you describe could be part of the same thing or simply the first time you've seen one that hasn't been skimmed a few times.Nick
Hasbeen
On the TR Register Forum, there is a photo of a US injected TR7 piston, which has been attacked by a valve head.It looks the same as your piston.
