Howard
I am planning to fit daytime running lights to my TR7 (to avoid the need for dipped headlights in Europe). Has anyone used the retrofit units - Ring, Hella etc?
Zendervision
No but I would also be interested in hearing about this. Now that more and more new cars have them I'd like some daytime lights on my increasingly invisible little dark car. I'd leave the headlights on but that has the side effect of making the brake lights less visible.
partsaver
I have fitted 'Ring' DRL's to someones elses modern car, I took a feed straight from the under bonnett fuse/ relay box so they come on/ switch off with the ignition. speaker wire is okay to use with these as there is bugger all draw with the benefit of the wire being thin and easily routed. The lights themselve were difficult to keep in place so I used hot glue which means they will never come off. These are the lightshttp://ringautomotive.co.uk/product_detail.asp?prod=2299
