Davemate
Do I just "pull" the horn push rim off to get at the nut that holds the steering wheel on.I have tried to pull it but it just keeps flexing,I don't want to snap it.Is there a simple trick or am I just being a big wuss ?It's on a mk1
dazzer
The early MK1 has two recessed screws at the rear of the steering wheel if I remember correctly?
mikeyb
same as 1300TC. Pull the plastic bit away from the metal ring. Fixed by two plastic pegs into grippy metal clips, located roughly central down each wing IRRC. Should be able to see from rear of ring if you wiggle. Suggest locate pegs and spray with WD40 first - they have been known to snap off! Use flat screwdriver or similar to ease each side a little at a time, trying to remove parallel.Ring held on by nuts underneath :)
