mowerman
I have replaced the oil filter on my vitesse with the newer canister type, but foolishly forgot to make a note of the filter part number :(Can anyone tell me an equivelant filter, Coopers, Fram etc that will fit. valencia1
can you not contact your supplier?, or is there a ref. no. on it now that motor factor can cross reference for you?
Nick Jones
Depends on the breed of your spin-on conversion*. I use genuine VAG filters that suit the Golf GTi (Mk 1, 2 & 3 at least). Excellent quality with relief valve and anti drain flap (which works!) and give spares commonality with our GTI!Nick*Edit: Mine is an old Triumphtune cast ally one. Lots of filters fit it. I think there is a a nice short one that goes on CVH fords. Just make sure whatever you fit has the relief valve and anti drain flap.
bxbodger
I did a bit of research on this as mine came with a spin-on conversion, but an unidentifiable filter ??)As posted above, the Ford CVH one is the most common one-Champion C104, and the Unipart GFE173 is another shortie that will fit. Both are anti drain.
mowerman
Thanks for all the replies chaps. Co-incidently my wife drives a MK3 Golf GTI, looks like that`s the filter :)
