Barry Acclaim Guru
Hi, if the engine has just been rebuilt, there may be a chunk of swarf in the PRV causing it not to seat properly, Might be worth pulling off the pump and checking it out, you never know, the piston on my stag pump had a weak spring and lots of slurry, easy fix. Good luck
Andy Farmer
Oil (20:50) and filter changed now and engine running much better. Good pressure on start and about 25psi when the engine has warmed up. Thanks all for your input, much appreciated.
Martins Stag
Andy perhaps for next time try 20:60 i use it in my Stag and it seem to work well. You don't want too higher a pressure though otherwise it wears out the tensioners i am told.
glang
The oil pressure regulator should limit max pressure but I know its not a fine control....
Richard B
Quote Good pressure on start and about 25psi when the engine has warmed up If that is on idle, then great. You should see 45-50PSI at 2000RPM.
