Nick B.
Hi, I have reluctantly given up on my GT6MK2 project, and have decided to sell it. I do not know where to sell the car though. As the car is in Denmark, it would probably only be interesting to european buyers, but I have not yet recieved any good offers on what I suggest is a very sound car (though in pieces). I have recieved an offer just shy of 1200 pounds, which is less than I expected. The car is a california mk2 with overdrive, rustfree tub and extremely nice doors. Comes with NOS metalastic couplings and optional rearseat in undamaged condition. Where do one put these things up for sale to reach an international audience. Or should I just bite the bullet and sell it to this guy who will at least rebuild it and not sell it for spares? Cheers Nick
Martins Stag
Nick I successfully sold my 2.5 Spitfire on ebay. You will get the odd tyre kickers or the odd chancers but if you list it truthfully i would have thought you would have got more than that... Phots always help i find.... Nick Jones
Does it have registration paperwork? If so, £1200 is something like 1/3 to 1/4 of it’s likely value, even in bits. It would break to more than that. For example https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/255455430484?hash=item3b7a548754:g:sTsAAOSwyU9iPqIr asking £3600 for this sad object. Would have thought you could find a German buyer? Nick
JohnD
Denmark has no Triumph car club, but Germany, the Netherlands and Sweden do: https://www.triumph-spitfire.de/ https://www.trclub.nl/ https://www.triumph.nl/ https://www.triumphclub.se/ Ask to post there? DVD3500
I can vouch for the German clubs: Your offer would be most welcome.

Nick Jones
Yeah…. Pretty crazy price. But the rusty UK car will eat way more than the 4k price difference in panels and labour unless you are going to do it all yourself. Both well overpriced for what they are.

Nick Thanks - it does have the US- registration papers. It have never been registrered in Denmark. The project on ebay are quite pricey!! Will try and get some decent photos of the car (just a bit diffivcult as is is stacked in the back of the garage and full of spareparts. German ebay might be a good idea. Tim Bancroft
Hi Nick, There are a surprising number of European and Scandinavian cars on carandclassic.co.uk these days, maybe worth trying to sell on that site?
Max Eastwood
I'm interested in this car. I'm currently resident in Luxembourg and would like to see what you have.
