Thread size for Trunnion oil nipple - Herald 13/60

A simple problem which I cannot solve without the necessary info.

The oil nipple on my herald 13/60 - I want to oil up the trunnions and need to replace it with a 90 or45° grease nipple. But what is the thread size? I fear it is UNF?

if I remember rightly it's 1/4 unf, these are pretty readily available from Triumph Suppliers  ebay etc in various configs, straight, angled 45 and 90 degrees, extra long etc. Example here from James Paddocks https://www.jamespaddock.co.uk/front-trunion-grease-nipple-2

If you have the stubby plug bolt in there, it's also possible to oil trunnions without a grease nipple. You don't need huge pressure so a squirty oil can with a plastic tip, pressed into the thread where the bolt came out, will normally suffice.

However, 1/4"UNF is one of the standard threads for grease nipples so it's not hard to find them.

As much as I would like to, ordering spares from GB after Brexit is a lottery in terms of cost and time to Germany and only done now as a last option.. Fortunately I can get Imperial sizes for most things locally, also  - it is just knowing what the size is! Many thanks.

Just to pitch in, I'm 98% certain they're 1/4 unf. I replaced my grease nipples with short screws recently and know they're 7/16 AF and UNF threads.

1/4 UNF Any motor factors ANYWHERE should have them. UNF PRETTY MUCH STANDARD FOR GREASE NIPPLES. Failing motor factors any hydraulic shop.

UNF sizes are not readily stocked by Auto houses hi r in Germany ( metric sizes only) but at the same time not impossible to source from speciialists through ebay - my order is expected to arrive tomorrow.
