Burnerboy
I am looking to convert the Green Missile to Megajolt ignition which means I can get rid of the distributor. What do I have to do to ensure that the shaft driving the dizzy and the oil pump remains intact / centered or can I simply cap off the hole? Anyone done this who might have any pictures? And if they have, how did they secure the toothed timing wheel to the crank pulley wheel and mount the pickup sensor? AndreGT6
One plan I have pending I do not ditch the old tach for a digital one is to take an old dizzy and lop the top off and use it to keep the gear in place and drive the tach.A.
James
To get the toothed wheel on to my pulley the machine shop made a sleeve to make the back of the pulley flat - then drilled and tapped holes to hold the wheel on. It made for a neat job.
Deleted User
You can just cap the dissy hole, some put a crank breather in too...
