andrew cheesman
Can you fit a sprint or HL dashboard curved into a standard 1500 Dolomite rear wheel drive
RobPearce
Probably but I wouldn't expect it to be easy. I've not really investigated in detail but AFAIK... The core bodyshell is common, including a common bulkhead, I think, so in theory the full HL interior can be transferred across to a base model. However, it's likely to need more of the interior than you might like, as well as probably needing the HL wiring loom.
thescrapman
I would expect to be able to fit the whole dashboard into a similar aged car to upgrade, the looms are probably common in the core, certainly applies to various aged big saloons, you get a main loom and a model specific sub loom for the dash. But an early Dolomite is not likely to be same core loom as a later HL model.
Clive
I an pretty certain you need the heater box etc to swap as well. So everything behind the dash as well. Is teh steering column adjustable on the HL/sprint cars? not sure if that would need swapping.
Toledo Man
Clive, you're right about the heater. I'm not so sure about the steering column. I'm faily certain that the bracket is the same. I'd need to check the parts catalogue to be certain. A HL dash loom is gonna be required at the very least in terms of the electrics.
