cook1e Posted September 29, 2008 Posted September 29, 2008 Just looked at the Met office 5 day weather forecast for some points along the route and it looks like Friday night is going to be a dry clear night .However it will be a tad cold with temperatures at freezing point in the highlands.
Jason Posted September 29, 2008 Posted September 29, 2008 Lovely - we like dry, if only because the Atlas has no windscreen washers, they were never fitted as standard. I think we may get a water pistol and some fairy liquid so we can lean out and squirt the windscreen :-)
tiggrr1 Posted September 29, 2008 Posted September 29, 2008 Goose pimples on my legs a John O' Groats then.....................................
tiggrr1 Posted September 29, 2008 Posted September 29, 2008 Note to self must take a sweat shirt or two.........................................Probably look like the Michelin man in shorts then ;)
cook1e Posted September 29, 2008 Author Posted September 29, 2008 I guess with those shorts on it may also be freezing around the Trossachs ;D
tiggrr1 Posted September 29, 2008 Posted September 29, 2008 Hmmmmm.......................................Anyone know where I can get some fur lined shorts LOLTypical, the last two weekends the weather has been pretty good. Looks like a turn for the worse for the RBRR :(Even if I freeze, I'm wearing my shorts.I have a few pairs to wear and I may need a change or two with Robs driving..................................... ;)Just kidding,Rob's a very good driver 8)
cook1e Posted October 1, 2008 Author Posted October 1, 2008 Not looking so good now, the met offioce are saying:-"Outlook for Friday to Sunday:Cool and showery on Friday with snow on Northern hills. Rain will spread east on Saturday, mainly dry for a time on Sunday but more rain spreading northeast later."

taxijack Posted October 2, 2008 Posted October 2, 2008 GOOD LUCK TO YOU ALL!! Anyway who among you still believes the weather forecast?? Remember last years forecast, the hottest summer EVER!!
GT6 John Posted October 2, 2008 Posted October 2, 2008 I'm with Jeremy Paxmans outlook on the weather. It's England, Scotland and a bit of Wales. It's October. Expect rain, wind and cold. Expect British weather. End of!
Tim Bancroft Posted October 2, 2008 Posted October 2, 2008 As usual its RBRR and Rain X. I fully expect to go through Glen Co without able to see the peaks-6th RBRR and never yet seen the peaks-Scotland phew! This is on the assumption that we make it that far????
Keith Posted October 2, 2008 Posted October 2, 2008 Changed my windscreen seal today and made sure that I've got a spare pair of wiper blades.
