hi guys i think im goona have my diff off to replace some of the bushes and since most of the rear suspension is off anyway. ima drain it when its off- no drain plug :( and was just wondering what type/brand oil would be the best? its a MK1 vitesse if that matters cheers

EP90 diff oil. You can get it at most motor factors.

I understand that it needs to be the GL4 spec and not GL5, but that may just relate to gearboxes.

I think it's as critical if not more so in differentials, due to use of "yellow metal" shims there.

   so do Wilkinsons
       and many more   some brands are  EP 80/90  generally  thats OK .

          in most cases   GL5 is a yellow metal dissolver   dont use it.
