Jim A Posted September 27, 2020 Share Posted September 27, 2020 Hi All. After a little bit of your help again please. Just cleaned up my GT6 Mk1 grill and can't tell what colour it was originally. RobPearce Posted September 28, 2020 Share Posted September 28, 2020 It's the six bar extruded one, yes? I think they were originally painted black but with the front edge cut back to bare aluminium. I should probably have said that photo is a before-and-after of my refurb, so not definitive, although there was some evidence of black under the significant amount of body colour overspray from previous repairs. I went with the black because I think it's correct, and the photos of Mk1 GT6s in the period press reviews appear to show it like that.
