Clive Posted March 28, 2017 Share Posted March 28, 2017 From the TDC forum I understand there is a saab clutch cover taht can be used on 1850/sprints, and therefore a 2000/2.5.The saab cover is much lighter than the normal offerings. esxefi Posted March 29, 2017 Share Posted March 29, 2017 well my helix clutch uses a saab turbo cover(higher torque rating) I was told by them so I suspect you are right about the friction disc although I don't know about the spline size. GT6 M Posted March 29, 2017 Author Share Posted March 29, 2017 All sorted, any Saab clutches i seen, all ed wrong number of splines in em,Some folk said Volvo plates are same, same agen, could nae see any wid correct spline countmaybe there there, but gotta no what t,look for.and, I read ont Dooly forum that the Saab clutch was ...only 5 KG,3 KG lighter than OE.think they must ev been coked in copious amounts of Ferodo an clinkercos me own only wieghs in at 4 KG,And, got 3 ford V4 clutch plates for 10£ inc postageso mus,nt grumble there.Not all V4,s ev the same spline count, some are 20Butt, Escort, Capri, Cortina, Granada 2L ones are same { check spline count, as some are 20 }And TR7, 5 speeders are same as 4 speeders platesthere some good bargains on the Bay of Flee,slike 99p for a rover 2.6 or Ambassador plate.butt, I think they wrong size for ours.as cud,nt fin owt oot aboot sizeM Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

GT6 M Posted March 30, 2017 Author Share Posted March 30, 2017 The Dolly 1850 LATE type and the TR7 4/5 speeders are 23 splinesthe earlier type, which are same as OE GT6 are 9{ i think } thick square shaped splinesIm running a Hybrid box, hence why I need a finer spline plateButt,owt wid 23 splines and 8 1/2 inch -215 mm is OKbutt, also needs plenty of rivets on em, and a 6 springssome of them had 3 rivets on, an they dropped t,bitsM Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
