TR250 Overdrives

I am looking at putting an overdrive transmission into my TR250.  I was just wondering which overdrive is generally considered more durable, the A-Type or the J-Type.  I know the A-Type was the original equipment, but I'm more looking for long term drivability rather than complete originality.

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Go for the J type, stronger and spares more readily available.

I presume that you are American so not sure who to recommend to get one from over there, in the UK- suppose TR Revington, Canleys, TR Racetorations etc.

I'd go for the A-type myself, it fits straight in without modifying the chassis and you get one more gear! (o/d 2nd)
