PaulB
Hi Can anyone recomend some reclining seats from a modern car that can be picked up cheap on ebay cheaply that will fit a Vitesse convertible wiothout having to do major work?Basically we would only want to put them in temporarily for the RBBR.ThanksPaul
Elma fud
A lot of people put MX5 seats in but they are expensive, try MR2 of MGF, what ever you buy you are going to have to fabricate a bracket to bolt them to the triumph seat mounting, if you only want them for RBBR then any three door seats could be made to fit eg fiesta escort rover 25 etc.
Clive
I think MGF are too wide in a convertible, the extra B post section gets in the way. Same will apply to other modern seats, so MX5 etc will be the safest bet. RX7 suitable too.
Nick Jones
MGF seats fit in a Vitesse convertible (and are comfy) but DO NOT recline due to the width of the B post. MX5 seats are one of the few narrow enough to miss the extra wide B-post on the convertibles. You can always flog them on again afterwards. If you are tall then height may also be an issue as most modern seats seem to place you higher.Nick
willows40
mx5 seats are an easy fit to a convertible used the original rear holes and drilling new front holes on the mazda runners only problem with fitting them this way is lack of rearward movement but as i was fitting them for my niece who is only 4,11 was more concerned to make sure they went forward enoughcheers andy
