My wipers are struggling to make one pass. I removed the wheel boxes and cable today and cleaned and greased them and they move freely when not attached to the motor. mikeyb Posted December 9, 2006 Share Posted December 9, 2006 Take the wiper motor gearbox apart - you will probably find the grease inside has set rock hard! Might be worth looking at the motor brushes and polishing up the comm too! Last thing it could be that the motor rotor does not turn freely in its little phosphor bearings - easy to polish up again! I rebuilt one recently amongst a load of Herald/Spit ones because it had sat in our core stores for so long it had nearly taken up residency! XK120 are the same as:- Triumph TR2- A-H 100/4, - A-M DB2 and DB2-4, - MG TC - TF... should be worth somthing....
