oldsaab93 Posted June 20, 2012 Share Posted June 20, 2012 I have an intermittent problem with my Herald indicators.The front left indicator will flash at times but other times not. All other corners are 100% reliable.Is this the symptoms of a bad earth, or dirty contact somewhere in the wiring circuit for the left corner?Also the tell tale lamp on the dash does not always blink?Any ideas please where to look for a clue. mazfg Posted June 20, 2012 Share Posted June 20, 2012 I had a intermittent problem with mine, in that the right side was a problem. I'd previosuly cleaned up and rmeoved parts of the stalk switch. Found that the contact (which is sprung loaded) wasn't quite making. Ended up bending out the contact metal a little more and now fine. I had exactly the same fault,front near side indicator as well as the dash lamp !I tried the flasher unit,at one point my headlamps would flash in time with the indicators but only with the bonet raised !It was a bad earth,I just fitted a new earth and fixed it to the chassisI have had no problem since.
